Miss Independent

My child is not even 2 years old... she is 4 months away from 2 years old... she refuses to hold my hand in the shopping centre, she runs away and hides between the clothing rack, she insists on carrying her own school bag (which means dragging it across the paving and in turn destroying it), she wants to feed herself and worst of all she will only give loves when she feels like it...

Yesterday we went to Woolies to shop for a birthday gift for my niece. Rebekah decides that the child manequins are real and make nice friends so she starts hugging them and saying hello. Then she decides to hide in amongst the pyjamas which are really cute and as such I just had to get her a pair. She then wants a juice (I blame Woolies for this as they make the juice bottles so appealing!) She then finishes the juice and decides she wants her freedom back... after a half hour shopping trip I was exhausted to say the least...

I think the "terrible two's" have begun...

However with all of this independence comes the sweetest change in that she is growing up and becoming her own little person. Her character is shining through more and more and I am loving it. It is like having a friend with you all the time.

And so with all things in life you strive for patience through the difficulties so that you can better enjoy the fun, positive times...

Tomorrow we are going to a Moomie Meet... I am so excited to see my friends again and see Rebekah interact with little ones her age...Note to self - must remember to charge my camera as 6 toddlers mean lots of fun photo ops
